the journey continues!

I was chatting with a friend today...chatting about how different my life was just 1 short year ago. Thinking about the journey that was just getting ready to start in March of 2008. The friend said, did it do any good?...did you find yourself? was your "little walk in the woods", as it has now come to be known, good for you? and so I thought...and thought...and have to say that in the end if I had to bottom line my experience it would be that 2008 was the year that I truly learned to be happy with myself...with me...who I am...my experiences...likes... dislikes etc... The journey wasn't 2, 173 miles up a trail it was on highways, gravel roads, telephone lines, in cars, on bikes, on ATVs...with friends, lovers, family, and complete strangers that taught me to love me.

That may sound dramatic but in the end the proof is in where I find myself in March of 2009. I am loved and am loving, I have a wonderful new job, I feel peaceful and happy about being in New England and have a new take on life. My friend Patrick gave me a cup that sits in my office that sums things up pretty well. "Life is not about finding yourself it's about inventing yourself!" ...and that is the go forward plan!

again and again and again...

the cycle is so present... always present... whether in my written notes or my online blog there is me getting excited about something, getting lost in the pursuit and then musing about it and stating that I've learned something only to repeat it... why? I'm hear again, well, sorta... my friend Mike said to me today, if you would only make a decision to settle on something. You have amazing energy and talent but you just need to settle on something. I am simply not sure what that is... still... not sure of so many things. I'm enjoying life though... have a great job... have nice friends... maybe i just have inflated expectations about what life is suppossed to be? maybe I just want too much? not sure... just saying. life is good.
