Perspective.
This email, from a spiritual mentor says it all:
Have been following your adventures.
Still adventure, but of a different flavor than you had
planned, isn't it?
This is good. Really good because it calls upon you
to love and accept yourself even more. You will probably
be teeter-tottering for a while. The mind will rationalize
sometimes and sometimes sink into gloom and do all of its
usual tricks. You'll have a chance to create more intimacy
with yourself, which was the idea in the first place.

All is well...I'm in Tennessee visiting friends and chilling out a bit. I'm planning a little adventure to Savannah for a few days and then back to Boston at the end of the month. I'll be in touch soon!
Thanks for the space and encouragement!

Eric

I do not know what to say other than that I have failed you in not keeping up with you like I had intended. If things had gone the way I planned, I would have written here EVERY day, and would have emailed you at least as often. As you may have gotten my email, health wise things here are very bad (not trying to one-up you, just the truth), and I have been eating all the chocolate in the world.
I love you very much, and understand your need for some time to think. I am here if you need someone to scream with or at, or for ANYTHING!!!
Remember, my exit is right on your way home; stop if you get the chance or the want to.
Hugs and Kisses,
Tracey
My prayers, positive thoughts and energy be with you...
Still it is good....sometimes we set out to discover what we WANT to or what we THINK that we will find and in the end- what we find is the TRUTH....only those with the courage of heart even try. Your trail although brief seems profound. I encourage you to listen to what you have already learned about self. I do however wonder- if at your end- was there a new beginning???? Reminds me of the story of Moses in the Bible where he wandered in the desert for days and it wasn't until he was at his end- the end of physical strength or what he thought was his end- that GOD revealed himself to him- at the end of human strength I think we find who we really are... however not many of us (including myself) choose to seek this path.
Still I wish you the best- in this respect- you're a better man than most- personally I would not have made it past the first day when you had to set up camp in a downpour. You should write more- you really are a great writer and tend to express some far reaching concepts. Take care stay well and talk more to you later.
Blessings
Charles W.
