i took a small step out on a ledge and trusted that what was there...what I saw... what I believed to be, would, in fact be...
i tentatively sat at the waters edge... toes in, yet not... waiting... watching... listening...
i met you in circumstances so average and normal... even mundane...
i didn't realize how you would challenge me...
i didn't realize how you would be the one person that the Divine would use to remind me of who i am.
i didn't realize when you rested your head on my shoulder that i would find it to be one of the most satisfying comforts i have known...
i didn't realize the depths of challenge... that you call me on my shit... that you question my intentions...that you call me to be my best me...

your way is funny and sometimes dissmissive...
your way isn't always comforting in a traditional sense...
your way is teaching me that it can be different...
your way is about committment... and trust...
your way is about being who and what you say...
your way is new...
and i learn lessons that are much bigger than us... and you learn lessons that are much bigger than us... and we learn to know and trust Divine out of a place of need... and in the end this friendship is much bigger and more important than...
